Meeningfully

My family moved to the western part of Singapore when I was 3 years old. For as long as I can remember , I have lived here, and will likely continue to for an even longer time. At different points, people have asked me what's there to do here in the west as it seems so far away. The common comments I hear from friends while in school were "you live in tuas ah....the industrial area? " Or... "which kampong is that?".

We started our 2nd IVF cycle about 3 weeks ago. This time, we are on the long cycle protocol. At the same time, our doctor switched our follicle stimulating  hormone (FSH) jabs from Puregon to Gonal-F. And, boy oh boy! This switch sure does some really horrible things to me.

Let us take you on a tour of the different accommodation we stayed at while in Taiwan. Our 7 days holiday brought us to 4 different hotels/minsus, and we enjoyed each and every one.

This post is out of the norm for the blog as I always try to steer clear of work related rants. But I guess this falls into the mumbling segment on my blog and with a series of issues faced at work recently, I feel compelled to write this.

We were at Aviva Superfundae last Saturday! Before I begin, can I just say I am slightly biased towards the event since it was sponsored by my ex-employer. And, being at the event, soaking in the sea of yellow brings back so many good memories. The yellow days of fun as I call it!

I have written a great deal about not being able to conceive, and what we have been doing to bring us closer to our dream of having another child. What we haven't quite talked about is the why. 

Taiwan is one of the countries I cannot get enough of. Such a large place, so much to explore, lots of lush greenery and plenty of little surprises that never fails to put me in a happy mood. Not forgetting how there's so much nice food to savour and now that I am a mother, Taiwan is so very family friendly, making it an ideal destination for our family getaways. This was in fact, the man and my fifth time to Taiwan.
