Are we there yet?

Ok... I have to confess. I am getting impatient and is secretly wishing that beanie will arrive really really soon. Only a few days away from full term, yet i feel like time has kinda slowed down and it is sometimes hard to stay focused at work. I feel like i have been pregnant forever, and cannot wait to get rid of the heaviness. While some mummies to be are fearing the pending labour, here i am wishing i can just press the fast forward button and get on with it. Am i the only one feeling this way? Anyone care to share? Packing my hospital bag...

Image
As i enter the 35th week of my pregnancy, people around me are getting increasingly excited. Even more excited than me... the mummy to be. They have been urging me to start packing my hospital bag. But the procrastinator in me just wouldn't barge thinking there is still time. Finally, i decided to take the first step towards packing by taking the bag out of the storeroom. I see packing my hospital bag akin to packing for a holiday. Careful planning required on what to wear, what to bring, things to sneak in so i can secretly shower and of course what beanie should wear home. ;-) Well, of course going into labour is far from having a pleasurable holiday. But it certainly is a journey that is worth preparing for... posted from Bloggeroid

My first visit to Stellar @ 1-Altitude

Image
Today, I had the opportunity to dine at Stellar, 1-Altitude, at the kind invitation of the people from BT Invest. I have been wanting to  chill out at 1-Altitude, but somehow , plans to spend a friday evening with girlfriends there always seem to fall through.  While this work event is at Stellar and not the Gallery, it was my chance to take in the breathtaking view of the CBD while enjoying some happy food... and of course participating in the trade event. Food was good, and surprisingly, what I enjoyed most was their salad and soup. Salad was  a combination of tiger prawns , romaine lettuce, couscous, promegranate, almond bits (i think) and feta cheese. Crunchiness of the couscous & almond bits with the juciness of the promegranate gave a different taste and texture to what seemed like a normal salad. I don't think I can do the food justice with what I describe and i wished i remembered to take some piccies. Oh well! I would love to visit again , next time to have a prope

I found my perfect brow pencil -Silkygirl's Hi-Definition Brow Liner

Image
After many years drawing my brows, i finally found a brow liner that's easy to use, and provides me the light and natural finish I've been looking for. My discovery of Silkygirl's Hi-Definition Brow Liner was very much by chance.  There was one Sunday, when I was about to leave for my weekly visit to Mum's... i realised I have lost my one and only brow pencil. It was like the crisis of the day.... cos it means I had to leave the house with "half" eyebrows. :p Hence, I quickly popped into a nearby CK departmental store to see if I can grab a brow pencil....ANY one would do at that point. Picked Silkygirl's Hi-Definition Brow Liner, and was pleasantly surprised. This is the first self-sharpening, retractable brow liner that I've tried that does not break easily. Others, I have tried before always break after I carry them around in my work bag. It's angled tip also makes it very easy for me to draw the tail of my brows just by applying feather ligh

The countdown begins

Image
I am 32 weeks pregnant. While most mummies are starting to write their birth plans....I prefer to write a "countdown to birth" plan . I am just being practical. :) I need to deal with the immediate future rather than what's going to happen in 2 months time. 1) Launder Beanie's clothes and washable diapers. Did I mention how I got nagged by MIL on one side, and Mum on the other to use nappies? And i mean the traditional ones where you need to fold dozens of these square pieces of cloths and fasten them with safety pins. Well, i don't have a dryer at home, so i have hating the thought of washing these nappies, and finding some place to hang them dry. I certainly don't want my house to look like a laundry outlet. Neither do I have the patience with the folding and pinning.  So, i started to do a bit of research on those modern diapers. Looked at pre-folds, one-size diapers etc. So many brands in the market but got a pretty good insight from www.mummyreviews.co

OMG! #BeautyandtheBeast 3D is coming to cinemas this 22 Mar.

I have always always loved the Disney princess series, and Belle was one of my favorites. In fact... i loved the Beast even more. He is actually one of the gentlest creature ever, and always often misunderstood. However, when you see how shy and meek he looks around Belle....you just wanna give him a big big hug! "Swwwooooon"! I have watched this cartoon countless of times... and I can still picture the part where the Beast preens himself for that dinner date with Belle.... as well as the part where all the crockery and cutlery come alive to welcome Belle as their guest, dancing to the upbeat "Be Our Guest"! And now.... Beauty and The Beast is returning to movie screens in 3D from 22 Mar. Woohoo! Click here to find out more!!!!!
