My Little Climbing Room (with giveaway!)

Image
We got invited to one of the newest climbing "playground" in town - My Little Climbing Room last month. Nestled in a quiet residential neighbourhood at Kovan, which I may add upfront isn't the most accessible location. However, after our visit, I feel it is worth the travel, and is fantastic workout for the kids. Initially, we were apprehensive about visiting because J has only recently regained his strength and we didn't want him to feel upset or inferior if he wasn't able to complete the challenges.

3 reasons why making terrariums can teach your kid a thing or two

Image
Did you know that terrariums are really costly? I love terrariums and I love how they can make me happy just by looking at them,  but I can never figure out why they are always so expensive. (Oh! And, I am really bad at keeping them alive, which is probably not best discussed on this post) That said, when Masons Home Decor offered me a DIY Terrarium Kit, I thought why not. Maybe, I can start making my own going forward, just in time for our new home (if it happens this year!). But...it is through this activity, I realised why terrariums cost so much, and rightly so and that's because making them is an art which requires a good deal of patience and precision! This boy, in his excitement to start poured the coloured pebbles in before the soil and mixed them all up. So we ended up with no pebbles after that! LOL! J and I had good fun working on the pack and here's 3 reasons why we will not hesitate to do this again although it's a huge big mess! 1) Makin

Like most boys, our energetic little imp has a thing for vehicles. Vehicles of all shapes and sizes! From those mini Tomica ones to huge motorised ones. Our house is filled with vehicles of all types and all sizes. Not too long ago, J will always insist on having his haircut at QB House at VivoCity because he knows we will let him take a spin on those paid motorised rides near the playground. There are times when we are so tempted to get one for him, but if you look around at local toy shops, they can be very costly. Some can go up to about $400, so that's why for a long time we willingly pay for him to have his 10min of fun at these play places.

Protect your bed with "Therm-a-Sleep"

Image
J has been toilet trained ages ago. I don't even remember when was the time he started to go without diapers during the day. Well, but the night time situation isn't so rosy.  Although he still sleeps with diapers, accidents happen and is becoming more frequent. Maybe it is because he consumes very much more water these days.  You can imagine when he wets his pants, the bed is never spared. We needed to find a better way to protect our mattress, otherwise it means we will need to throw out our mattress soon!

Friso: Experience More Together

Image
[Sponsored] Most of you, my followers know that I am a huge advocate of outdoor play. Due to our busy schedules, the amount of time the man and I have with the kid is limited. So we try to always make sure we are out and about during family time. However, going outdoors isn't always possible for many reasons. Like the recent haze for example, and times when I get really lazy and just want to lounge around at home in my PJs and messy hair. At times like these, it helps to have fun stuff to keep us occupied as a family at home. This came quite late at night. I was actually very excited, so much so that I wanted to wake the boy up. I know he would be thrilled because he has been asking for a slide at home when he saw one at his cousin's house.

Promotion: Baby Looney Tunes Bedsheet Sets

Hands up anyone who's a fan of Looney Tunes! Well, I was! Tweety was my favorite and I recalled always mimicking her "I tot I saw a puddy tat!" Then in recent years, there was Baby Looney Tunes and they are all just too cute especially Baby Taz. Honestly, the Looney Tunes that our generation remembers can be deemed a little boring by our kids. We have tried to introduce Looney Tunes to J before, and he didn't want to even take a second look. The Baby series is more interesting to the kiddos I reckon, because they are way way cuter and modern, don't you agree?!
