5 things yoga taught me about life

Image
Picking up yoga again was one of the best things I did for myself.  Pre-kids, doing yoga was very much about losing weight, and getting in shape.

A minimalist 2015

When we made the decision to embark on the inevitable IVF journey in 2015 , we knew at the back of our minds that we needed to make some changes to how we lived our lives. Honestly, I don't know if I am physically prepared for the journey.  Always stressing over work, and harbouring the mummy's guilt , plus the many other things on my to do list, it does seem l impossible for my already weak physique to go through the quest. Something needs to give so that stress of any form does not consume us.

Movement is Happiness Picnic + GIVEAWAY

We have always been advocates of outdoor play. As much as possible, during weekends, we will take the boy out to work up a sweat! Just the thought of going out, whether it is to get past those mini obstacle course at the playground , or simply taking a walk in the park makes J very happy. When he gets his dose of sunshine,  his mood almost always gets lifted. He whines less, eats and sleeps better, which makes us happy parents too!

Fit & Fab for a Working Mum

Image
At 34  and after one child, I am at my heaviest. Almost 10kg heavier since we got married and  7kg heavier than the time before we had kids. The post pregnancy weight seems to have the same stubborn streak as me and it is sometimes depressing to even look into the mirror.  Unlike some lucky ladies where weight stays at bay without much effort, I need to work harder to lose and maintain my weight. And...it gets harder with age I tell you!

The Color Run Singapore 2014

Image
The 3 of us took part in The Color Run Singapore 2014 last Saturday, our first run as a family. While I was not looking forward to the run initially as I was afraid the heat might make the boys (husband included) grouchy, I wanted (on the other hand) at least experience how it feels like to be doused with color along a 5km run.
