Wordless Wednesday: Learning our ABCs

Image
One of the things I wanted to get done this year is to spend time crafting with J. I must admin, other than making customised jewelry, I am not your typical mummy with a flair for arts and craft.  So, I had do quite some research before involving J.  Then I decided, crafting can be a way for the child to learn, and so we started J's home-crafting with alphabets.

Classic Strawberry Shortcake

Image
If you read my blog regularly, you would have figured that I have a strawberry shortcake loving family.  So at times when we need to satisfy that craving, we bake!  I am still not confident enough to attempt a Japanese Strawberry Shortcake with all that complicated steps. So what I did was to use a victorian sponge sandwich cake recipe to create a classic  strawberry shortcake.

In conversation #2 - The Nice Rebel Rabbit

Image
Today, I have got " The nice rebel rabbit " on the blog. An educator, bursting with positivity, who loves life and lives life to the fullest. That's Becky, a mother of 2 boys with very different temperaments. Let's hear from her on how motherhood has made her the person she is.  If you are curious to find out why she calls herself "The nice rebel rabbit", read till the end of this post!

Things I like about Bali

Image
I have never been to Bali prior to the (not so) recent team trip. Surprisingly , the man never quite considered it as a holiday destination despite it being very popular with everyone here. I on the other hand, have been wanting to visit the beaches, and soak in the sun and visit the Safari etc. . This trip was great at that it allowed me to do some "market research" and submit a business case to the boss. I really started with wanting to cover only 5 things. Hard to stop, so here's 7 things instead:

Wordless Wednesdays: Peace

Image
The boy is growing up really really quickly, and I sometimes lament at how I miss my cute little one. J has started to learn to pose for the camera, and flashes his megawatt smile every single time I ask him to "say cheese" !

My thoughts on the Glenn Doman Learning Method

Image
When I was invited to attend a baby learning seminar about the Glenn Doman Learning Method , I wasn't prepared to feel what I did after that. There were fleeting thoughts in that 3 hours for me to leave my job to be at home with J. I also had my heart swell with pride despite not having been the most conscientious mum in helping my son to learn. Yet the time he spent in school has helped him reach all his developmental and learning milestones.

Bukit Batok Nature Park - Fun for Free SG

I have lived in the western part of Singapore almost all my life, and I am really proud to be a "westie"! There's so many fun things to do here, and some of them come at absolutely no cost! So, today, follow me and let me show you around  Bukit Batok Nature Park  - a hidden gem of the west.

In conversation #1 - The organised mummy

Image
On the blog today is Geraldine Low, mother of 2 beautiful girls aged 7 and 4. Gerry, as I like to call her,  is also a passionate digital marketer in the financial services industry. That says a lot. As someone who has been in a similar role before... the work hours are crazy! When I had J, she was always the first person I'd go to when I needed sound mummy advice. Needless to say, she was also the first person I thought of to start this new "In conversation" series.
