Drypers Drypantz: 5 reasons why we switched to diaper pants

J is now fully on diaper pants. I cannot imagine pinning him down just to change his diapers. If you are a mother of boys, you can perhaps relate to these little monsters having the knack for running around butt naked at any chance possible. And precisely because he cannot keep still, that's why diapering becomes a daily struggle.

J started on diaper pants since he turned one, although not on a regular basis, he quickly progressed to loving being on them today.  I breathe easier now as it is less of a struggle to change J, and J breathes easy with the soft and comfortable Drypers Drypantz, our choice of diaper pants.

There were a few signs that indicated he was ready for diaper pants, and they are:

1) Flipping
Ever since J was a few months old, he likes to flip and squirm away while changing his diaper. With tape diapers, I often use one hand to hold him down, and the other to tape the diapers. Now...that would mean the diapers will sometimes end up coming loose and you probably know what happens next.. leaks and what nots. So when he became bigger and heavier... my one hand "stunt" works no more and diaper pants makes my life so much easier. This is convenience for the person changing the diaper, and greater comfort for the child.

2) Public Toilets
Singapore's malls are generally very family friendly with diaper changing rooms available conveniently. However, there are situations when the queue gets too long or when there are no diaper changing facilities. Since J can stand, diaper pants is the preferred option when we are out and about. All we need is to whisk him into a toilet, and change him in the cubicle. As we are out and about every weekend, it only makes sense to have him on diaper pants.

3) Predictable Bowel Movements
J started having regular bowel movements at about 1 year old. We usually know when he will pass motion, and will use this to encourage him to go on the potty. Hence, being on diaper pants will help us catch the moment and "undress" him quickly.

4) Interest in Dressing Himself
More recently, J has been wanting to wear his shirt and put on his shorts, all on his own, frequently refusing help. This is an obvious sign that he is ready for toilet training and obviously diaper pants.

5) Love for the Outdoors
Give J an open space, and he will run and he will skip and he will jump. This calls for a more comfortable diaper option. Diaper pants are generally softer around the waist, that makes it less likely for skin redness to develop due to perspiration.

Having used the new Drypers Drypantz for a while now, we really like their Comfort Fit™ waistband. It's soft to the skin, and extremely breathable. I have never seen his waist area turning red and irritated from long wearing in this punishing weather. In fact, because they are so comfortable, it may be a good idea to start your child on them earlier. Drypers Drypantz are suitable for babies above 7kg in weight. Ultimately, what matters to me is to have a comfortable baby.

A comfortable baby is a happy baby. A happy baby makes me a happy mum.

The soft and airy Comfort Fit ™ waistband

Introducing Drypers Drypantz's super cute mascots Softie and Airy. Softie, the fluffy cloud embodies softness and comfort, just like the unique technology that goes into making Drypers Drypantz's waistband extra soft , gentle and comfy on the skin. Airy, the little pinwheel embodies breathability and better air circulation. That means less pressure on the skin around the tummy and waist area.
