Procreation

Procreation means: Reproduction is the biological process by which new individual organisms are produced. Reproduction is a fundamental feature of all known life; each individual organism exists as the result of reproduction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procreation)

Met up with a girl fren last week, and we came to the topic of procreation. Well, as a newly wed, it is obvious people will start asking when Hwa and I will add a new life into the family.

We started listing down the pros and cons of having kids. Yes... they bring us joy... and all... and i definitely wanna be a mommy sometime later. But then.... having kids comes with all kinds of worries as well....

When we're expecting, we worry if the foetus is healthy..... then we go tru all the morning sickness.... puking.... moods during the various trimesters. AND..... when we see ourselves putting on weight, we begin to worry how to lose it. Haha! Then comes to delivery.... shud we do natural... or cut ourselves up. When the water bag burst.... we sit and wait to deliver..... which means pain... and more pain..... All the friends I know who have given birth all stayed in labour for more than 10 hours..... GOSH! The agony! And the list goes on and on and on. Not saying all these is stopping me from having my own kid. Just not so soon is my answer. I still wanna travel and shop overseas like i used to with Hwa. :)

I always think very well of working mothers.... and one day.... I wanna be a super mom too! Juggling work and family is never easy. So.... let that be one of my long term goals then.

It's 10.15am on a monday morning. Should get ready for work soon..... there goes my 1/2 day OIL.... :(

Ciaos for now!

Yilan for kids - Taiwan Travelogue

Our recent trip to Taiwan brought us to Yilan. Although we initially worried that it will be boring for the boy as it is more of a "back to nature" part of Taiwan, we enjoyed ourselves very much, and wished we spent more time there. Surprisingly, Yilan packs more fun for the kid than expected.

Here's some places you can check out if you are going down that way and I will let the pictures do the talking!

My thoughts on the Glenn Doman Learning Method

When I was invited to attend a baby learning seminar about the Glenn Doman Learning Method , I wasn't prepared to feel what I did after that.

There were fleeting thoughts in that 3 hours for me to leave my job to be at home with J.

I also had my heart swell with pride despite not having been the most conscientious mum in helping my son to learn. Yet the time he spent in school has helped him reach all his developmental and learning milestones.

Fun for kids in the West of Singapore- Part 1

My family moved to the western part of Singapore when I was 3 years old. For as long as I can remember , I have lived here, and will likely continue to for an even longer time.

At different points, people have asked me what's there to do here in the west as it seems so far away. The common comments I hear from friends while in school were "you live in tuas ah....the industrial area? " Or... "which kampong is that?".
