2016. I am glad you are leaving.

If I had to rate how 2016 was from a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 is absolutely horrible, and 5 is perfect, I think I will barely make it to 1. No sugar coating at all, it was a biatch (if you all will just indulge my language on my family kinda blog).

[Taiwan Family Holidays] FunCar 放假 Minsu in Tainan.

Image
We were in Tainan last December. yes, almost a year ago and I am still trying to complete all my posts on that trip.  I think this will be the second last post of the December 2015 trip as I cover one more interesting minsu we stayed at in Tainan. Well, as this was so long ago,  I am just going to do a photo spam! So beware of a really long photo posts. :) " Wah!! This is too cool! Just my type of fun " P.S Look at the really cute vintage cars in the background. No wonder the name "FunCar". However, what goes on updates in the 2nd and 3rd floors is even more amazing!"

Family staycation at Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa

Image
We were due for our annual November trip out to Krabi. A trip much looked forward trip by the boy because of the fun stuff at the hotel that we booked. However, as you would already know, his sudden illness means we rather stay grounded for the time being to keep him from any potential infection. But, we wanted to ensure we keep J's spirits up and not make it seem like his illness is keeping him from any of our "normal" activities. Hence, we opted for a staycation at Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa mainly because it has all the facilities that the Krabi resort has. A superb view from our sea-view balcony room at Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa

How we found out J has Juvenile Dermatomyositis

"Der-mer what?"  You hear me say. I don't even know where to begin because never in my life did I think stories I read about kids and their families battling rare conditions would actually happen to us.

[Perth Travel] Our first Airbnb experience with tips for a noob

We love to travel, evidently from the number of flights J has taken since he was born. About 11 times already? I know... kids these days are so lucky right? I also say. While we love to travel, we always try to keep our travels pocket friendly, and I tend to take my time to research the accommodation that's most suited for us, a family with a young kid (and sometimes with 2 old folks). When J was younger, we prefer 4 to 5 star establishments that's full service so we get access to food and all other amenities with ease. Now that he is older, we go for space since we do stay indoors quite a bit while on holiday plus we often pack food back for our meals, more so when we travel with nai nai and grandma.

[Taiwan Family Holiday] Migrantland Leisure Resort ( 米格蘭休閒農莊) Tainan

Image
It's more than 6 months since we visited Taiwan in December, but I still miss that place a great deal especially this leisure resort set in a very quiet and tranquil fishing farm area of Cigu, Tainan.  Cigu is the salt town of Tainan.  Fishing catchment area at Migrantland Leisure Resort   ( 米格蘭休閒農莊)

[FTWM Truths] Why I don't lunch out

Image
This post is dedicated to my colleagues. Many know I don't usually dine out during lunch while at work. When I do, it is usually for official work reasons (must be really good reasons like celebrating a birthday etc) or to meet up with friends I have not caught up for ages or when I am super stressed and need a breather.
